Khi Armand recently closed his practice, Conjure in the City. One of the things he used to offer was a Spirit Guide Consultation, and I’m really glad I was finally able to book a session with him right before he closed his practice. These consultations reveal about 4-5 spirits of a person’s spiritual court (spirits who walk with the person in this life) and provide ways to more thoroughly engage them. The spirits that appear are not tied to a specific tradition and are usually a mix of ancestral spirits, animals, plant spirits etc.Continue Reading
I have a confession to make: I hate Sundays. I don’t know if it’s the laziness and quiet that makes me feel that way or if I just love what I do during the week so much, but Sundays feel depressing and empty to me. Like everything was forcefully paused and I can’t wait until there’s movement again.
I recently started making a weekly list of things that bring me joy. Not necessarily big things. It’s mostly little things that cheer me up when I feel tired and miserable, small things I look forward to, like a cup of good coffee, a book that is due to arrive tomorrow, or watching the latest episode of one of my favorite TV shows. I keep this list on my phone, ready to be used whenever I catch myself feeling sad or too stressed out about something.
Being a student in Jason Miller’s Strategic Sorcery course, I get to participate in the global rites. The latest rite was to be performed between August 1st – 3rd and it was a Jupiter rite. Jupiter is associated with finances, money, prosperity, well-being and sovereignty. Since sharing the blessings is an important part of my work with Jupiter, I asked that he extends his grace towards everyone who reads this post (regardless of when that happens; so if you are reading this and it’s been years since it was originally posted, it’s still active). This is not the same as participating in the global rite of course, and I cannot say what kind of blessing each person is going to receive. It might be financial or it might not. It might be small or it might be big. Continue Reading
I’ve always been a big fan of the Headless Rite. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it, and after all these years, my feelings about it haven’t changed. So when I read the “Becoming Invincible” chapter in Chaos Protocols, where Gordon White suggests a version of the Headless Rite followed by an invocation of the Four Kings, I -like so many others- instantly wanted to try it. However -for one reason or another- the time was never right. So yesterday -months after reading the book- I finally managed to perform the rite.Continue Reading
Back in May, I posted a dream I had about Akashic Postal Boxes.
The truth is, I actually needed a PO box and I had trouble getting one in the past. So it didn’t come as a surprise when I went to get one a couple of weeks ago and once again, I had all kinds of trouble. It makes no sense why I’d have any trouble in the first place. But all kinds of issues kept coming up. Continue Reading
Magickal links are either links from the target that you bring into the spell or working, or links from the spell or working that you bring to the target. I’ve already written about personal concerns and links from the target that you bring into the spell. This post is about links from your spell that you bring to the target.Continue Reading
So the 30-Day Challenge is finally over and as it turns out, it has served a slightly different purpose for me than what I had in mind when I started it. The clarity I was seeking regarding one particular matter/aspect of my life hasn’t been achieved to the degree that I hoped. What did happen however was the sudden revelation of a core wound that is the underlying reason behind the lack of clarity, as well as the reason behind a big number of other situations and occurrences in my life. it’s one of those times when you can’t believe there was something so big, so blatantly obvious at play in your life for so long and you still managed to miss it. So deep and fundamental and old that it is totally and completely invisible because it has literally shaped you into who you are so you don’t even see it as something outside of you. You don’t even see it at all. “That is who I am. I have always been like that”. Wrong. Just another mask, yet a persistent one, one that I’ve been constantly wearing for so many years that I ended up believing that this is actually what my face looks like. Continue Reading
Starting today, I am going to be participating in a 30-day challenge organized by the Strategic Sorcery members. The previous 30-day challenge (which I ended up not taking part in because of other engagements) was about doing a different kind of magic every day for 30 days. This time, it’s all about doing the same spell/ritual/practice every day for 30 days. People have come up with all kinds of great ideas for this challenge. The Headless Rite (with or without the 4 Kings) as well as a month of devotion to Juno have been really popular choices. Continue Reading
It’s been a while since I’ve had a dream worth posting about. Until yesterday, that is.
I dreamt that I was in my home town and wanted to go to the post office to pay for a postal box. There was this man I kept encountering all the time. He supposedly was the sheriff, and was wearing a brown uniform with a golden star, complete with a brown hat. For unknown reasons, this man really disliked me. I shared my thoughts about him with a few people, but they were all insisting that it wasn’t anything personal, that he generally behaved as if he had a stick up his butt no matter who he was talking to, and that despite this he was good at his job and was keeping the town safe from all kinds of threats. I wasn’t really convinced it wasn’t personal with me though. The guy really made a point of showing up wherever I was and asking all kinds of questions, to the point that I was beginning to feel that I was a suspect in some kind of investigation I didn’t even know about and that he was watching me, waiting for me to lead him somewhere (other criminals? stolen goods? I had no idea what he might have been looking for).Continue Reading
