Weekly Dose Of Magic: August 29 – September 4

Whether magic and occult-related or just everyday stuff, these are some of the highlights of the week that I wanted to share with you all. So grab a cup of coffee (or whatever your favorite beverage is) and here we go:

LITTLE BITS OF BLISS

Mercury retrograde has hit me pretty hard. Stuff keeps breaking down around the house, and it feels like every single piece of crap from my past (even stuff I had sincerely forgotten about completely) keeps resurfacing at record speed. On the bright side, most of the repairs would have had to be done at some point anyway (it’s not like anything brand new and with no known -albeit minor- problems broke), now is a perfect time to clear all the emotional baggage in my life (I was in the process of doing exactly that all summer, even going to great lengths to dispose of any physical items that anchored me to negative emotional states; I just have to deal with extra stuff now that I didn’t even remember I was holding on to) and I haven’t found myself hopelessly lost yet (last year during a Mercury retro I headed off to class and ended up 5 miles away from my lesson, even though I took the same bus I’ve been taking for the past 3 years. I still have no idea how it happened!).

So I guess the bliss in all that is appreciating the simple things (like a working toilet), the lack of drama (when everyone around me seems to be sucked into all kinds of it), and having a clean and tidy apartment with lots of free space (I’m a big hoarder, so getting rid of stuff that acted as anchors to my past self meant getting rid of A LOT of things!).
