Ever since I wrote the post on How To See Auras you have all been asking me what the different colors you saw when you followed the instructions mean.

I promised you to ask a friend who has worked extensively with auras and also does aura portraits for people to write more on the topic, and that's exactly what I did.

Allow me to introduce you to the first guest blogger on this website:

Akelta Wilde, a talented practitioner, demonosopher and a good friend of mine, who has worked with auras extensively and also does aura portraits for people.

Akelta has written a long post on auras, including the different layers of the aura as well as the interpretation of the different colors.

This is part one, which focuses on the layers of the aura. Part two -which focuses on the colors- will be published next week.

So without further ado, enjoy!

WHAT IS THE AURA?

The aura is the energetic body of our being here.  It is the energy of life and the energy of our essence that surrounds our body, moves through it and influences it.

Humans have both a physical body and an energetic body.

The two are very intertwined and work together influencing each other.

Many times illness and disease are seen in the aura before it manifests in the physical.  Keeping one’s aura cleansed and clear can help keep your physical body healthy and also can help to reduce stress and pains in the body.

The aura directly works with the physical body and can directly influence it and support it.  The aura surrounds the entire body and can encompass a radius of 3 - 20 feet in some people.

Have you ever felt the presence of someone and knew they were coming or felt that you had to get away from someone who was not in direct contact with you? They might just have a very large invasive aura.

You can learn a lot about people based on their aura, and you can also learn a lot about yourself based on your own aura.

Humans naturally have the ability to sense each other’s aura.

It is through the aura that you can pick up intuitions about people and also learn to read their true intent.

When you meet someone and you get a bad feeling about them, it probably is your intuition picking up something in their aura that it doesn’t like.

Some people are withdrawn from their body and their energy field almost seems detached.  These people might be trying to escape life and are ungrounded to their physical body.  Other people are too grounded and their energy clings to them like a glove.

Auras really do come in all shapes and sizes

Introverts usually have very intense and complex energies that are kept very close to their body, while extroverts can have very large auras with beautiful energies spreading all over the place.  Though really every aura is tailored to the individual; I have met introverts with very large auras and I have met extroverts with small auras, it all depends on the individual.

Learning to read energies and learning to read auras is a great way to develop your intuition and get a sense for people on a very intuitive and energetic level.

In order to do that, you have to have a base on what the aura is, the components of the aura and also what the various colors of the aura mean.

Let’s begin.

THE COLORS OF THE AURA

The aura is comprised of many colors.  Each layer of the aura will contain different colors and in people different colors will mean different things.  But, the colors themselves have a variety of things that they can mean.

In this post we are going to go over the layers of the aura to help break down where different colors might be and what they might be connected to. In the next post, we are going to focus more on aura colors and what different colors in the aura mean.

Remember though, this is meant to act as a guide. When it comes to the spiritual there are always those who seem to break the rules, so in your work use this as a guide but if you see something that seems to deviate from it, let your intuition guide you.

THE LAYERS OF THE AURA

The aura moves through the physical body and affects the various layers and areas.

Though there are many layers to the aura, there are 7 main ones which are connected to the 7 main chakras in the body.  I like the 7 layer diagram as it helps people to get a sense of the aura.

Auras are incredibly complex and have many sub-layers, but learning this model helps a lot of people grasp the energies and get a good sense of what is going on.  We will cover them briefly.

The first layer of the aura is the etheric layer.

It is often seen as red and is connected to the root chakra.

The root chakra is the first chakra and is the primal creation chakra of the body.

All forms of manifestation and creation rise from the primal desires of the root chakra.  If you are blocked in manifestation, what you think you want, you might be in contradiction with your primal desires contained in your root chakra.  The root chakra is usually seen as red.

The second layer of the aura is the emotional layer.

It is often seen as orange and is connected to the sacral chakra.

The sacral chakra is the second chakra and is the emotional chakra.

Emotional pains and anxieties are held in the sacral chakra.  It is one of the physical chakras which is why anxieties and emotional stress can have such a damaging effect on the physical body.

The third layer of the aura is the mental layer

It is often seen as yellow and is connected to the solar plexus chakra.

The solar plexus is a very interesting chakra as it is the seat of the soul in our physical bodies. It is the last of the physical chakras and is our connection to our higher self and our spiritual being.

Our power and sense of self comes from the solar plexus. It is through the golden yellow energies that we remember we are divine beings and gain access to our divine power.

The fourth layer of the aura is the heart or astral layer

This layer is often seen as green and is connected to the heart chakra.

The heart chakra is the chakra of balance, it is also the chakra of love.

The heart chakra is a chakra that is half physical and half spiritual.  It balances us and keeps us centred.

When the heart chakra is broken or damaged we can find ourselves too grounded or too ungrounded.  The heart chakra also helps us to give and receive love. It fills our aura with the divine energies of love throughout the universe.

The fifth layer of the aura is the etheric temple of the communication layer

This layer is often seen as light blue and is connected to the throat chakra.

The throat chakra helps with communication and also is the first chakra that is connected to the spiritual body.  The throat chakra helps with communication, not just with other humans but also with spiritual beings.

When the throat chakra is blocked, it often blocks our psychic skills and abilities.

The sixth layer of the aura is the celestial layer or psychic layer

This layer is often seen as dark blue-violet, or another shade of purple and is connected to the third eye chakra.

This chakra is a deep connection to the spiritual energies and helps tune us in to the unseen world around us.  It also gives us intuition and helps us to read subtle signs that are around us.

When we get senses that we cannot explain, it is usually from the third eye chakra.  The energies in this layer also connect us to the spiritual realms and dimensions and allow us to learn from and connect to places inaccessible to the physical.

The Seventh layer is the Ketheric or Divine layer of the aura

This layer is often seen as white, violet, silver or gold and is connected to the Crown chakra.

This chakra is our connection to divinity and it is where miracles come from.

The energies of the crown chakra connect us, remind us of our divine powers and who we are as divine beings.  It can help us to remember who we are, to make incredible transformations and to heal pains and energies.

Learning to distinguish between and read these layers will help you in translating the colors of the aura and help you to get a clear image of what is going on in the individual’s energy sphere.

The first three layers are the easiest to see and easily seen by the physical eyes. Whereas the layers of the higher chakras can be more difficult with the physical eyes but can be aided with assistance from the astral eyes and clairvoyance skills.
